Buyer Guide

A better WPC RFQ starts before the first price request.

Distributors and project buyers save time when the RFQ already defines application, profile type, climate exposure, and document requirements.

Before Asking Price

The buyer should define the project logic first.

Question Why it matters
Where will the product be used?Decking, cladding, and fencing should not be quoted as if they were the same job.
What traffic and span conditions apply? This affects hollow or solid profile choice and fixing logic.
What climate or wet-area risk exists?Snow, poolside, rain, and strong UV should be stated early.
Is the buyer optimizing for look, cleanability, or traction? This narrows co-extrusion, embossed, or grooved choices quickly.

Documents To Ask For

Good RFQs ask for proof, not just marketing statements.

  • Profile dimensions and structure details.
  • Installation guidance, joist spacing, and fixing method.
  • Slip, fire, or durability test sheets when the project requires them.
  • Packing details and loading logic for export orders.

OEM Questions

If the buyer needs OEM, ask about tooling, samples, and packing early.

  • Can the supplier support custom lengths, custom packing, or private label?
  • What sample path is available before mass order approval?
  • What must be fixed first: profile, color, or packaging logic?
A strong first RFQ normally gets a better first response because the factory can quote structure, sample path, and logistics more directly.
